At the heart of the Sheraton is a passionate family and exceptional team, who strive to provide the best in Lancashire hospitality with care, comfort and courtesy
at the forefront of what we do.
Our warm welcome and relaxing atmosphere are the main reasons so many of our guests return year after year, and that’s down to our staff. Our team will do everything they can to look after you so you can truly relax and have the perfect holiday!

Liz Brown, Proprietor

A Passion for Hospitality & Commitment to Service

“It’s hard to put into words how blessed I feel about my amazing Team at the Sheraton. They provide such an exceptional service and that is why our guests return time and time again to the hotel. They not only care for you, but each other, for the business, for the environment and even raise funds for deserving charities. I couldn’t be more proud!” – Liz Brown

We recognise that it is our duty to do our bit and give back to the community and give our support by our fundraising efforts. In past years we’ve raised thousands of pounds for charities such as Molly Olly’s Wishes, Headway and Cystic Fibrosis. We have chosen this year to support Alzheimers’ Society. In 2022, our Team of Housekeepers took part in their annual ‘Trolley Dash’, this year joined by Housekeepers from The Elgin Hotel and The Cliffs Hotel. Together they pushed their fully laden trolleys almost 7miles from Hotel Sheraton to Blackpool Pleasure Beach and back! In total, managing to raise more than £7000, £1800 of which was donated to Boat House Youth, our local charity. We would like to thank everyone who have made donations for such a worthy cause either to our Trolley Dash or on our Sheraton Nights throughout the year.

Team Sheraton work tirelessly throughout the year, so we believe that rewards and incentives are required so that they know how appreciated they are.

During our annual closure period in January, the team are treated to a full staff party, training and our much-loved away days! These usually take place in the Lake District at outdoor adventure centres. It’s important to us to make sure that our team are friends as well as work colleagues, and these away days ensure that their team work and bonding is stronger than ever, allowing them to provide the best customer service possible – as they say there’s no ‘I’ in team!

Investors in People Gold Status

We’re proud to say that in March 2023 we retained our Gold IIP Status!

We are committed to going above and beyond to provide our staff with the necessary support and training they require to enjoy fulfilment in their careers.

Team Sheraton…
Making a positive change in the community!

Our motto of ‘Be Really King’ extends to fundraising for Charity. Each year the team have an opportunity to nominate a Charity of their choice and the most popular becomes our nominated hotel charity.

For the last three years this has been Molly Olly’s Wishes, a national charity supporting children with life threatening illnesses and their families. The staff can choose how to fundraise and for the past 3 years we have held a fancy dress trolley dash along Blackpool promenade. Each month we hold a themed Sheraton night and raffle a free nights’ stay at the hotel.

To date, we have raised over £10,000 for Molly Olly’s, Boat House Youth; our preferred local charity and we hold an annual dinner where all the dinner money, raffle and donations pay for outward bound activities for local disadvantaged children. In addition, every Monday the kitchen team cook for Street Angels, a local charity for the homeless.

Our maintenance team help a local initiative to enhance Queen’s Promenade by gardening and maintaining in Jubilee Garden at Gynn Square with North Shore Regeneration Group. Each month we also donate blankets and duvets to the local Salvation Army and RSPCA centres.

In total we have raised £11,227 over the last 2 years.
